Unicode support in windows mobile 5

Hi,

I'm woking on a projects that uses unicode char. When we are at
developing env i.e. on desktop pc unicode char. are displayed well, But
when the app depolyed on mobile device unicode char displayed as rect.
blocks in place of and char.
Is it unicode support available in WIndows Mobile 5 or not ?
If yes how can we activate this?
We are using HINDI (india) at UTF 8.

WM 5.0 supports Unicode. That, however does not mean every device has fonts
to display any Unicode character, that would be too big.

Generally English devices have English characters, European accented
characters and may be Cyrillic characters.

For anything else you would need localized device.

Hi,

If you want to display unicode on your PPC, you must install a unicode
police like Arial Unicode, copy this police on your Font directory (in
Windows) in your PPC and it must works fine.

Note that this is a licensing violation for just about any source of the
indicated font. There are a small number of freely-available TTF fonts
around, but the ones in the Windows directory on your desktop PC are not
among them. You can also buy fonts, of course.
