I think my question is related to this post.
I have both a Rich Text Box and a text box that both show
Korean text OK on my development computer. The Korean
text is in UTF8.
But when I take the program over to another machine only
the Korean in the Rich Text Box displays properly. The
Korean in the text box looks like trash. But oddly
enough the text that looks like trash in the text box
still is the correct text because when I use the trash
text to do a Select on the Access database it brings back
the right Korean results to the Rich Text Box.
Remember... the RTB shows the Korean text properly.
So what am I not doing right with the Text box so it will
show the UTF8 text properly on the other computer?
Could it be that I declare the text to be Arial for the
RTB but I don't declare a font for the Text box? I let
the system take the default.
If this is true then I am a little scared that unless I
know exactly what UTF8 font my users have on their
machine I may not choose the right one and many of my
users will see only trash text.
So the Really bif question is how do I make the Text box
and Rich Text box to always use ANY available UTF8
capable font on the user's computer?
Thanks!
Bob

I knew once I started studying Russian. Only so much RAM
