restore icons on the desktop?

Hi,

Place the mouse in an unused area and click, then hit the context menu
button on the keyboard if you have one.

I'm not sure what did it, maybe I install an ad-blocking
program,I can't get right-click on desktop to work. It
does work on the taskbar. I tried using policy editor to
see if it had been disabled. Not to sure what to look
for I don't want to have to reinstall XP. If some can
please post a reply or send an email

Thanks

If you suspect an ad-blocking program you recently installed, the first
thing you should do is either disable it or remove it to see if it restores
the functionality you are seeking. Or, if this is a recent event, you might
try using System Restore to take you back to a time prior to when this
began. Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.
