Unhandled exception

windows xp (home) starts up o.K and stops and the window showing the various family members. When one of those is selected I get an unhandled exception c0000005 at address "100016b8"

can you help
 
Hi,

Most likely cause is a Creative soundcard, you need to update the drivers
(use the manufacturer's web site, not Windows Update).

Second most likely cause is that you have Kazaa file-sharing installed. One
of the add-on programs it comes with causes this issue. Uninstall pgmonitr
using add & remove in the control panel.
