There are various programs available, such as undelete,

Hard drives would be no problem but unless you used a quick format on the
diskette I belive the data is gone.

Go to My Computer, Right ckick on Floppy, Dialog box will
pop up, click on format & follow directions, this will
clean up disc for further use.....

I'm suggesting this in order to have a more informed pc
user out there. Please change your terminology.
When a disk is formatted, there is no such word as unformat
it can be said as undo, or can a format be undone.
once a disk is formatted most, if not all data are gone.
if a file on a disc is deleted, floppy or hard disc
sometimes, it can be retrieved with utilities, depending
on a few things, usage of the hd after deletion,
importance of the data (how much money you are willing to
spend to get it back) etc I hope this helps.

I beg to differ with you! With a Hard Drive you can recover the data from a
format and even an Fdisk
and Format. There are many utilities that can recover this for under $200.00
