Has anyone seen intermittent unforced reboots in
Server_2000? My 1.8Ghz system (512MB RAM) just started
rebooting as it sees fit. It doesn't care if I'm copying
files over the network, printing jobs or just sitting
idle. The box is only a yr old and has been "UP" for that
duration with only occasional shutdowns. Tia.

My win 2000 server has just started rebooting.

The botton 1/4 of the startup screen goes RED, and the machines reboots. I
have no idea whats causing this.

I'ld suggest a failing or inadequate power supply.

Do you have automatic reboot turned on? Go into the
properties of My Computer, click on Advanced tab, click
the Startup and Recovery button, then clear the
automatically reboot box. You should now see a Blue
Screen if the server crashes, which should give you an
idea what the problem. Also check the event viewer for
any errors.

Good Luck

Mike.
