Hey Guys,
We are experiencing unexplained slowdowns between events in the application
request lifecycle for our ASP.Net application. The slowdowns occur
inconsistently and we cannot reliably reproduce them. The slowdowns happen
between certain events in the application lifecycle and we have not been able
to determine what could be happening between these events. It almost appears
as if the .Net runtime is locked or waiting for something to happen.
We are running our web application on .net 2.0, on a windows 2003 server
running in a 64bit environment.
Here are some snippets from our application logs that highlight the
problems. Each entry is from a single request. Our application is setup to
log an entry with the date and time each event competes. Each snippet below
highlights a delay between processing of the events.
