Unexpected (& unwanted!) Windows Shutdowns

Hi there..

My Windows XP system keeps shutting down without warning. Sometimes there is a high-pitched beep before the shutdown, other times it just powers down - no warning at all. No blue screen or error messag

I have down a virus/spybot scan with no result. Someone suggested using only a single stick of ram, so I tried both my sticks of ram individually and never had a problem with either, but if I put both in together then down she goes. Sometimes it takes 2 hours and sometimes 10 minutes

I have no heat problems and all my fans work

My system is AMD XP3000+, 1 gig Ram, Radeon 9800Pro, SB Audigy Platinum, 80 GIG HD, running Xp Home SP1

Are both the RAM sticks a matched pair? I take it they are dual channel
DDR?
