How does one get excel to reflect real values along the x axis?
Say I'm taking the temperature randomly during the day, using 24hr time.
I place all this data in a table with two columns... and you'd think this was a cinch to chart... just fire up the wizard... Except, when I make my chart, the x values are not plotted based on their actual value but are evenly spread across the x-axis. So if I take readings at 1805, 1810 and 1855, rather than plot two values closer together and one far away, they are all evenly separated.
How do I stop this!!! I want the x values to actually represent their value along the x axis.
I can't seem to find an option that turns on a real values for x axis.
I'm using Excel 2002.
Thanks in advance.
Rob
