Hi there,
I have encrypted a WMV file, now I could not open it with
a message saying 'access denied'. I could not unencrype
it neither. It's Windows XP Pro workstation.
Please help. Thanks.

Hi Will,

what changed on your PC since you encrypted it? Did you use same user
account for decrypting and decrypting?

At first glance it looks like you don't have private key to decrypt your WMV
file, but you gave too little information...

You need to logon as the user who encrypted the file to be able to unencrypted it,
efsinfo can give you that infrmation if need be. In XP an administrator can not do it
must be the user. If you ever "reset" your password in Local Users and Groups, that
can also cause a file to not be able to be decrypted though changing it back to what
it was may work. A format and reinstall of your operating system will also cause you
to lose access. The link below explains a bit about EFS and it is easy to loose
access to your own files without precautions like backing up your EFS private
