undo redo file disappeared

I am using Vista Home on a new Dell computer.
I rename a group of pictures, then, undo the rename, then, redo the rename.
Then, the whole group of pictures disappeared. I Google and found this is a
Vista bug. Can you tell me where are the pictures? How can I retrieve it?

Andy,
I have this EXACT same problem. Were you ever able to figure it out.
Dell/Microsoft both refused to help me without charging me! Please let me
know, I have tried everything!
