undo a sync with palm

Hi, I just cleaned up my contacts, then selected the hotsync button to change
to desktop overwites handheld and syncd. Now all those names are back in and
I have to delete them again in the desktop. I don't know why the desktop
didn't overwrite the handheld but it didn't. Ofcourse I didn't do a backup
so I have nothing to restore. Is there a rollback feature, or an undo or
restore? How about a registry roll back or undo for that action?
Please help as I don't want to go through this again.

There may be a setting in your sync software that controls the direction of
the sync. read the documentation that came with it.
Ofcourse I didn't do a backup so I have nothing to restore.

registry roll back or undo for that action?

There is no such feature, unless your sync software comes with it.
