Fooling around with this new computer, I ran the CPU-Z tool on it.

- P 4 Northwood mPGA-478
- Core Speed 2393.9
- voltage 1.472
- Multiplier x18
- FSB 133
- Bus speed 532.0
- L2 cache 512

The first thing that jumped out at me is the "FSB" which I assume to mean
Front Side Bus. Says it's 133. According to the mobo manual, it supports
400/533/800 FSB, no 133 specified. The Bus Speed number of 532 obviously
looks close to 533.

Hoping someone can clarify what seems to be a disparity in nomenclature.

You and the MB manufacturer are falling prey to marketing BS. The actual
FSB speed is 133MHz. What they refer to as 532 is actually 532Mbps (4
data pits per bus clock cycle). This BS has really gotten so far out of
hand it's pathetic.
Hoping someone can clarify what seems to be a disparity in nomenclature.

Well, if that didn't clarify it. See The real Front Side Bus in my server
below.
