Understanding Address Books and Contacts

Where is the best resource to gaining an understanding of
Contacts versus PABs, sharing them, getting them to appear
where I want them to appear in Outlook? I can't believe I
am struggling with these. They should be easy to deal
with. For example, I have an existing PAB, but I can't
seem to figure out how to access it from Outlook 2002? I
can import it into my Contacts, but what if I just want to
use it, as is, without importing it.

Does the Business Contacts utility/addon for Outlook exist
for Outlook 2002?

I am using Outlook 2002 with Exchange and I have little
experience with Exchange.
 
PABS are legacy, back when dinosaurs ruled the earth PABS were the in thing
because they had more functionality than Contacts but with the advent of
Outlook 2000 this was turned around on its head. Sharing your Contact folder
in Exchange is a painful process and setting up a Public Folder Contact
folder and letting other users access it is far easier and quicker. To use
the PAB in Outlook 2002 then go to Tools > Email Accounts > Add a new
address book or directory > Additional Address Books > PAB > Browse to > OK

Please note a PAB can only be accessed by instance of Outlook at a time.
