I have ordered a CD rom book and in order to activate it I
need to put a registration in the form that shows up on
the screen. In this security thing I have assigned there
are letters and numbers. The numbers only need to be
underlined. I know how to underline when I am in word or
email but there is no tools on this page. HOW CAN IT BE
DONE> I feel so dumb but I cannot activate the book until
I do it HELP!!!!!!!

You can't. You can enter Extended ASCII codes such as ? ô ? ¼ and others by
holding down the Alt key and typing in a 3 character code. Examples - 127=?
and 224=?. There is no code that allows you to use an underscore or place a
bar below a character which you can type in. http://www.asciitable.com/

Are you sure you're reading the instructions correctly and maybe when the
numbers are entered, the program draws line below to indicate a number has
been entered ?

You can find most of the underscored letters in your
Character Map but this is a long drawn out process. Can
you open a word processor and then type what you want with
the underscore and then cut and paste the bits you want?
Open Office is a free word processor as is Abiword. You
should be able to open any work processor and in the font
option on the tool bar underline what you need. Keep
smiling.
