underlined text in web pages that link to a web site

Updated to explorer 6.0. When I'm viewing web pages some
words in the page are underlined in yellow and are links
to web pages. Can I delete this function?? If so, how do
I delete this function.

Also, I get a ton of ad pop-ups now. I'm using zone alarm
pro and it stops them, but there's a lot more than there
use to be and takes a while.
