Out of the blue (within the last few weeks) we are experience problems with
what displays in Excel 2003 (Prof Office Version) and how it prints.
1. When using custom number formats for our numbers which allows negative
numbers to display and print where previously, the right parenthesis does not
touch but is next to the single accounting line is now printing where the
right paren appears so close to the single accounting line that it appears to
also be underlined.
2. Using underline command in one document where letters of words have
spaces between them (i.e. A S S E T S) The A S S E T S row appears and prints
as it should (entirely underscored. The other line (L I A B I L I T I E S
A N D S H A R E H O L D E R S ' E Q U I T Y) displays correctly but the
under score extends past the last letter of the title.
This scenario changes when you add (D E F I C I T ) to the end of the title
and as above the document display correctly but the title is not underscored
at the last few characaters. This has been extremely frustrating as our
standards require that our client base receive a consistent, error-free
document.
