Under Accounts- The primary Contact???

When I add a new account name the next step is the "Primary Contact" When I
try to add the primary contact I am not only unable to type the name in but
when I click on the box to the right of the Primary contact area and try to
add it by typing it ino the pop-up-nothing happens. I type the name, hit ok,
then there is nothing there, even in the drop down. How do I relsolve this?
 
Hi Judi,

You cannot create a new Business Contact from within an Account form. In
order to add a Business contact to an Account, please do the steps as below:
1. Click on File --> New --> Business Contact.
2. This opens a Business Contact form. Fill in the details and save an close
the form.
3. Now open the Account.
4. In the drop down for primary contact, you will now be able to see and
select the created business contact.
