I have a coworker who accidently deleted an Excel file
stored on our Windows 200 server. Is there any way to
undelete it?
Thanks.

It doesnt always work but its a shot if your disk hasnt
reused the space it had for that file yet.

I gave a very simplistic (but practical) answer ("No") that is nearly
allways true on a File Server since overwites of deleted file's
clusters happens quickly. YMMV :-)

If the file hasn't yet been overwritten, you can get it back with one
of several third-party tools. Undelete from Executive Software
(www.undelete.com) is one (and my recommendation, since it's really
geared towards server environments), but you'll find others doing a
Google search for "undelete".

I hope this helps -
