I'm running Vista Home Premium, and I'm trying to reorganize the programs in
my start menu (UAC is off for ease of moving files/folders; I am
administrator).
I've come across a folder that I can't move or delete. Whenever I try to
move it, I get an error that it cannot locate the file (The error message
says that the file is no longer located in
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs). Additionally, a
right-click menu does not appear for this folder (but it does for everything
else in the Start Menu).
When I go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs that
folder does appear. However, I cannot delete it or move it. Trying to do so
results in a similar "unable to locate folder" message as before. Yet, I
can still open the folder, which is empty (hence why I want to delete it).
I've restarted my computer twice, and the folder still appears. I'd
appreciate any other suggestions.
