Sorry if this is the wrong room but i am desperate for help. I have a file
that I believe is adware and cannot be removed as it states that the file is
in use, yet it is not. I have tried to delete it and keep getting the same
message. I have run numerous adware and spyware programmes but they are
unable to locate it. How do i get rid of it please, it keeps popping up.
Thanks
Koko

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode to delete the file? Have you tried
booting into Recovery Console mode? You could also try the following:

- Open Task Manager.
- Kill all instances of the explorer.exe process. The desktop disappears.
- In Task Manager's File->NewTask menu, run "cmd.exe" (sans quotes).
- Delete the file using the DOS shell. Exit the DOS shell.
- In Task Manager's File->NewTask menu, run "explorer.exe". The desktop
reappears.

Thanks - you are talking to a complete novice here, where is the task manager
please?
