I have just installed XP SP2. I notice most picures or photo's are
disstorted and blurr when I'm on the internet. Looks to be over blown
digitally. including some words. I tried looking for a fix but was
uncussesful. Is there a fix for this?

If you are using one of the high speed
dialup connections like NetZero or AT&T
Worldnet Accelerator...that could be
causing the problem.

Maybe the following info will clarify:
=====
=====
How does NetZero HiSpeed work?

Data Compression and Image Optimization -
Before the text and graphics that make up
Web pages get sent to you over your phone
line, NetZero HiSpeed compresses them
using a proprietary technology. Less data
is sent so your surfing experience is that
much faster!
=====
=====
AT&T Worldnet Accelerator delivers text
and graphics more efficiently, using a
proprietary compression technology that
significantly reduces the size of Web pages
and page elements sent to your browser.

The technology compresses text and
graphics enabling users to load web pages
much more quickly than is traditionally
possible over an ordinary dial-up connection.

Thank you John. I found out that it was my ISP Hyper-Dial and not Windows XP SP2 that was causing the image to be distorted (blurr). To fix the problem all you need to do is to right click on the picture or the page. A window will open up. Click on refresh Picture or click on refresh page. Picture and/or page will be restored to full quality.
