What exactly are you trying to do so we can best answer your question?
If you have shares on the machine you are trying to connect to, you can
connect by doing:
Start - Run \\computername\sharename.
Now if you do \\computername\ it will show you all the visible shares (if
you have permissions to do this).
If you explain a little more about what you are trying to do we can better
assist.
