Does anyone know of a tool or product that would prevent
unauthorized devices from connecting to your LAN/WAN? What
has been requested from me is to find a tool that will
analyze the device and if it isn't a company owned
PC/laptop/Server then it can not get on the wire.

You may want to look into using switches that use 802.1x authentication. That would
require your computers to be W2K/XP/W2003. You then would issue certificates to the
computers from a CA on your network which can be done automatically to domain members
via Group Policy and the switch would use a radius/IAS server on your network to
authenticate the computer via EAP-TLS before it is allowed access to the network - no
certificate, no access. The link below shows how to implement 802.1x but it is very
similar for a wired network. --- Steve
