I'm trying to find out how to deploy Windows Defender to few Windows XP
computers at once in small MS shop company. We have like 5 servers and around
20 or that client XP computers. Now I saw that Defender is final and would
like to distribute that to all clients.

Now we wait for WSUS 3.0 to get into RTM so we don’t have any patching
technology deployed yet (We wait because WSUS 2.0 can’t get on x64 box). But
I wonder if there is a way to deploy this software to clients through GPO. I
made this before for Office so I wonder how deploy Defender since it comes in
msi package.

Hi Miha,

Theres a different version for x64 and I hope that you are using that
version first of all. There is a hyperlink to it from the "Windows Defender"
page.

But I don’t have issue with Windows Defender but with WSUS 2.0 not being
supported on x64. Forthcoming WSUS 3.0 will be supported on x64.
