Hi People,

I have recently filled the last slot of my raid array in the hope to
gain some extra space (which is desperately needed).

Aftr great pain, it is now recognised as "unallocated space" on my
logical drive 2. (see my attached screeny)

Am I supposed to use something like PM8 to fill that space? Isn't the
the Array Controller supposed to do this?
I'm kinda scared to try mix the two together.

Any help is desperately needed.

Cheers
Lee

From disk management, you could create a partition in that space and format
it with a filesystem.

If your goal is to extend a current hardware volume using your RAID card,
you'll have to consult the hardware's instruction manual to see if this can
be done.

Thanks, it seemed fine doing it through disk management.

I was just concerned that the new partition wouldn't be included in th
raid array, and hence have no protection. I can see that it will b
now.
