Unable to write to an external Ativa DVD R/W CD R/W

XP will not recognize this drive as a writer or has issues accessing it as a
writer. Can someone tell me if there is a driver or something to resolve
this? The model number is DX-3H20A. I have done searches and not really
found anything.

Does it work on other machines?
Do you have the latest motherboard chipset drivers installed for the
computer?
