unable to view saved edited movies

Can anyone provide a fix to a " red crossout" blocking me from viewing my
collection, edits, burned to CD & successfuly saved images?
I suspected an overzealous blocking program may be the cause.
Spent over an hour searching in MS troubleshooter to no avail!

Are you referring to Red Xs that show in Movie Maker?
This indicates that your original source files have been
moved or deleted. In many cases you can right click
the Red Xs and Browse to the current location of the
source files and re-establish the links.
