did what the letter stated to do, now when network connection is selected all
you get is a white pop up box. You do not see "add a connection or any of
the network cards. Any more ideas. What is really wierd is that when using
VNC I could view the connection offsite but could not edit, but they can not
see and/or edit the connection locally. The onsite tech performed the "fix"
from microsoft. He still can not see anything but the white popup box. I
connect through VNS and all the network connections are missing but "add a
connection". What can I try next. hanks for your help!

Also, in order to view and post attachments/screenshots, you need to configure Outlook Express (or any other newsreader) to access the Microsoft newsgroup. Or, if you prefer the web interface (that;s where you're posting from, currently), then upload the screenshot to a free web host and mention the link here.

If I may add to Ramesh's comment above, you are probably using the web
interface to these newsgroups because you probably don't even realize
that a better alternative exists. The web interface is awful, and
besides not permitting attachments, it's the slowest, clunkiest, most
error-prone method there is. Do yourself a favor and switch to a
newsreader, such as Outlook Express, which comes with Windows. See the
links Ramesh provides above.
