Unable to view images from email messages

I have been faithfully downloading all the MS updates. In this last round, something must have deleted my capability of opening images from my email messages. Usually you just click on the attachment and it opens. I have to save it to disc and then use a viewer to see the image.
Can someone out there help???? Please
 
what version of outlook?

Try to right click on the image and select "Open With", a
box will open with the choices of programs that are loaded
on your Pc and you can then choose the one that you want
to open the image with. If you are sure of your selection,
you can check the "Always use this program to open files
with this extension", but if you aren't sure just uncheck
it and you will have to choose each time you recieve one
of those image types.
