Unable to view contents of drop down lists

I am no longer able to view the contents of drop down lists whenever I go on
any website. I.e to book a flight etc..... the contents of the drop down
lists are blank.This has been the case for a couple of months. I have used
system restore to take the computer back and this resolves the problem but
when I download all the windows updates to present time, the problem
returns.This makes me wonder if the windows updates are the root of the
problem? Has anyone experienced this and have any suggestions? Many thanks in
anticipation to resolving this frustrating situation as I have a flight to
book and am unable to do so until I get back the ability to view the contents
of drop down lists.
 
It could be a problem with the site itself - contact their webmaster.....?

Which site specifically is this you're having trouble with?

Can you give a few examples of sites, and also the browser type/version
you're using.

I doubt windows updates would cause this problem. Did it work previously?

*I suggest booking the flight over the phone, and mention that their website
is playing up.
