Unable to view avi files in PP 2000 when connected to projector

Hello,
I have a issue when I try to present my presentation with
a video file this does not seem to work. All slides work,
but not the video slide. It does however work if the
presentation is run on my laptop. It is Powerpoint 2000.
 
You can use a desktop PC instead or set the laptop to display the
presentation on the external monitor (your projector) only. Then
the video slide should be visible.
