Unable to use WMM

Every time I try and import a video file (mpg) into Windows Movie Maker, the
programme immediately shuts down. I get the following error signature:

AppName: moviemk.exe AppVer: 2.1.4026.0 ModName: cevideo.ax
ModVer: 1.0.0.30602 Offset: 00008059

Can anyone help, please?

cevideo.ax is one of the problem codecs listed on the Problem Solving >
Crashes and Hangs page of my website....

Beyond that, you should convert MPEG-2 files before importing.... see the
Importing Source Files > Video > MPEG-2 page.
