Thank you. I tried this twice, and it did not resolve the issue.
I ran the install, and rebooted, and it did not resolve.
I then ran again, and did not reboot, .. same non-resolution..
Thanks .. this is what I tried first, and according to MS documentation,
should have worked.

@DENNIS: Please state your full Windows version (e.g., Vista SP1; Vista x64
SP2).

Kinda sketchy on the details here. Is there a particular update that's
failing to install or...?

Can you successfully update via the Start menu (vs Automatic Updates)?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)?

Has a Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this machine
(e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought it)?
