After attempting to set up Home Networking, I lost the
ability to drag and drop files/folders in "Shared
Documents" folder. I've been using "Shared Documents"
folders to store stuffs that I want to share with my
children. Like I say after attempting to set up Home
Networking I am only able to read the folder.

My system is an XP HOME edition. After many researches,
it appears to me that I need to restart the system in
Safe Mode. Unfortunately I don't get the option during
shutdown to press F8, per instructions. I have tried to
press F8 during shutdown and boot, no result.

Can someone help getting the "Shared Documents" folder
back so I can drag and drop files/folders into it? If I
need go go into Safe Mode, can you give instructions?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Toy,

After the shutdown procedure has begun, wait for the
screen to go black. Your machine should now be in the
"boot" phase. It is at this time that you need to keep
on tapping [F8]. This will present you with the
"Windows Advanced Options Menu" screen, where you will be
able to choose to start the system in Safe Mode.
