Unable to update MSN Anti-spyware

Can anyone tell me why I am unable to update my MSN
Antispyware program...My firewall settings are fine.
The only thing I have been able to find wrong is the
active X controls for the MSN anti spy is disabled but
have not found the way to enable this.
Anyone know why this was disabled? How to enable this or
some other reason my antispyware program wont update? ty

We would need to know what error message, exactly, you are seeing.

I don't think that Microsoft AntiSpyware has any ActiveX controls that are
relevant to your problem, so I am not clear what you are referring to here.

The program is working fine now. I don't know why it
wasn't working before. The response I was getting before
on the update screen was that it was unable to conect to
the internet(my internet connection was working fine). I
had restarted computer(confuser) and tried again and got
the same response. This morning thought it worked so
maybee the antivirus server was down for a while? Thanks

Hi,

I have just encountered the same problem since updating
the program successfully on 7/28. F-Secure Firewall is
set-up OK and I checked the ActiveX in the MS AntiSpy and
that is not blocked. My Broadband set-up is fine and I
can update other programs and go online with no problems,
except for MS AntiSpy.

Anyone got any ideas?
