I imported a bunch of meeting appointments from a PST file and get an error
when I try to updated them. The error says "An internal support function
returned an error". I'm running Office XP SP3 on Windows XP SP2. Any idea how
I can fix this?
Thanks,
Greg

If you still have the .PST file, try opening it via File | Open instead of
importing from it, then copy the meetings to the desired location -- then try
to update them.

Thanks for the response Jocelyn. It didn't work. However, in testing, I
discovered that it is only for certain appointments that I don't have access.
My calendar was blank before I imported the PST. I can edit all the
appointments which do NOT have me listed as the organizer. I wouldn't have
thought I would be the organizer in any of them. However, for those
appointments in which I am listed as the organizer, I get a "you don't have
appropriate permission to perfrom this operation" and editing the
appointments generates the original error. Does this help the troubleshooting
process?

As a followup. I wanted to know how many of these appointments listed me as
the organizer. So I filtered for me as the organizer and came up with 0! Yet,
I can open an appointment and see my name listed plainly as the organizer.
I'm confused...

FYI. I figured it out...sort of. A distribution list in each of the problem
meetings was creating the error. These were redundant because all the members
of the group were already listed as invitees for the meeting. So I deleted
the distribution list and the meeting was editable again with no errors. This
will have to be done for each meeting that gives errors.
Thanks again for your help!

Glad you were able to get it working :-)
