Unable to update from Antospyware 1.0.615 to 1.0.701

I downloaded the latest version from the official download page & tried to
upgrade. The process appeared to work, however on completion (& after
restarting PC just in case) I still have version 1.0.615 which expires end
December. Next I uninstalled Antispyware, re-downloaded the file & installed
again - same result, I still have version 1.0.615. Where can I get the latest
version from as it seems that the download on the Microsoft page isn't
1.0.701?

I know the experts on here don`t like suggesting this but try:

The auto update code was released this week (Tuesday I think) which enables
you to update thru the program. Did you try this route first? Otherwise it
could be due to the demands on the servers and in fact you are still
downloading 1.0.615.

Thanks Stu - this time it worked & at last I'm now on 701. I had been
starting to get worried about the imminent expiry date
