unable to type in address bar, other fields

In many IE fields, I am unable to type directly in the
field. For example, this was typed in another program and
pasted into the field. Also, when this happens, I can
only close IE using task manager. All other methods do
not work. This doesn't happen when I just reboot the
machine, but if I visit more that my home page, there is a
high likihood of this occuring. Any ideas?

Try this:
In tools/internet options/settings/view objects, delete
everything that doesn't say "installed"...this will get
rid of any corrupt plugins that could cause this problem.
You may also want to try to delete your temp internet
files.
Post back if the problem persists...
