Unable to submit spyware report!

I am unable to submit a spyware report! I get the error:

"An error occured submitting the scan results. Please
check your Internet proxy settings and try again.".

And there is not any problems surfing the Internet on
this machine! What is wrong? :-(

Are you running a firewall? It may be blocking the
connection.

I am running a corporate firewall, but doesn't spyware
submit the report over port 80? If not, what other
(weird) port should be opened?
 
I believe it uses either 80 or 443 or both.

The error message is misleading.

In my experience, it is transient, and probably due to load issues at the
server end.

I recommend retrying multiple times, and perhaps retrying at times of the
day when you might expect things to be less busy, if possible.
 
Actually I was thinking perhaps a software firewall might be blocking the
application from the internet. I run EZArmor on the individual machines to
block any software communication without permission.

'could be that too.

That's the issue oftentimes with a "cannot connect" message. It really
ought to just say that (or better yet some lovely code like c0000xxx9e) to
keep folks from being misled.

If it can't connect, the issue can be nearly anywhere along the path from
the keyboard to the distant server.
