Unable to share My documents with win98 p2p

I have a 3 station network, peer to peer (TCP/IP) which is connected via
a hub (a replacement hub as the previous recently went wrong)

2 machines runs win98 SE (a laptop and a desktop)
The 3rd machine runs Win 2000

All machines can see each other on the network, and also share printers
without issue (I have 2 printers connected to 2 different machines)

The 2 win98 machines have usernames to log into when they start [1]

The Win2000 machine can access both Win98 machines shared folders.
The Win98 machines can access each other.

However, both win98 machine's cannot access the "My Documents" folder on
the Win2000 machine.

I set up a folder named "downloads" (path c:\downloads) on the win2000
machine, shared it, and both win98 machines can access it.

The login for the win2000 machine is administrator (currently with a
blank password for ease of use) and is set to log in automatically
rather than require the user to input details at startup.

I have checked permissions on the "My Documents" folder, nothing is
denied, and all users have full access to the folder (under share
properties)

Why can I not access the "My Documents" folder from the other 2
machines?

I'm sure I used to be able to before the hub busted?

I have a 3 station network, peer to peer ...

a home PC network within which I can't share the My Documents folder on
the win2k PC's with the win98 PC's on the network.

Can anyone help?

I have read something about setting up users on the win2k machine that
equal the same on the 98 machines, but I don't know how to do it!
