Unable to set permissions for folders

I am trying to set permissions for certain files and
folders on Win XP Professional, but am unable to do so.
When I right click on the folder and click on properties,
I don't see the Security tab. What I see is the Sharing
tab. Now when I click that, there is a checkbox which
allows me to share/unshare the folder/file with other
Users. This checkbox is disabled.

How do I set permissions for files and folders for
different Users? Any help int his regard would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi

To be able to access the Security tab:

For Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, you must start the computer in
safe mode, and then log on with an account that has Administrative
rights to have access to the Security tab.

For Windows XP Professional, the instructions here can be
followed:

folder in Windows XP
