Unable to send/receive emails

A couple of days ago I noticed that I was unable to receive or send emails
via Window Mail. I constantly get this error message :

Account: 'pop.freeserve.com', Server: 'pop.freeserve.com', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR this connection is refused because there is too much
connection on server', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90,
Error Number: 0x800CCC90

What has happened? I am unaware of making any changes. Help appreciated.

I started to get this error in the past few days, it is an intermittent
Orange server problem, do not mess with any of your settings.
 
This sounds like a "You get what you pay for" issue. :-)
Free accounts (even Hotmail) tend to have lots of server problems.
