Unable to select Word as email editor

I just installed Outlook 2003 on my XP system. I have Word 2002 pre-installed. The problem is I am unable to select Word 2002 to edit my e-mail messages because it appears that Outlook is looking for Word 2003. Is there a fix for this?
 
Nope. Your versions of Word and Outlook must be the same to use Word for
your email editor.
