unable to select dial internet via modem

I have setup broadband on my laptop but also want a
dialup connection for when I'm away from the broadband. I
have a modem but am unable to select 'dial using a modem'
it is there but I cant select it.

Almost like there isnt a modem installed. HELP PLEASE!!
