Unable to see or change folder properties

I can no longer right click on a folder in Windows Explorer and view or
change properties, sharing, etc. The options are on the pop-up menu but
nothing happens when I click on them. I running Windows XP Pro and logged-on
as an Administrator. I recently installed XP SP2.
