Since I have enable the quick Launch I am unable to see the open window on my
taskbar. To continue having access to them I have to open each time the task
manager, it is very annoying !

Cycle through open windows using Alt+Tab.

If Quick Launch is too wide, you can unlock the taskbar and resize Quick
Launch using the mouse. If too wide due to the number of icons it holds,
reduce the number of shortcuts or consider using a double row taskbar.

Personally, I use a two row taskbar - one row for Quick Launch and one row
for open applications. I set this up by unlocking the taskbar and then
dragging the right most border of Quick Launch down to the second line.
This was done with no other windows open so that were no buttons on the
taskbar to interfere with the creation of the two rows.

A double row taskbar can also hold two rows of QL shortcuts to one side
while the other side shows two rows of open window buttons.

I keep Quick Launch on the right side of my desktop set to Always on Top and
AutoHide.

Just widening the taskbar to two rows does not solve the problem of taskbar
not being able to display the icons of open applications. Can Someone provide
some other solutions please.

Thanks. I was able to get the right instruction at line 240 of
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm. The problem looks fixed.
