I have Internet Explorer 6 SP1. My operating system is Windows 98SE. For the
past few days I cannot save webpages with graphics. It is showing an error
message -"Error Saving Web Page - The Web page could not be saved to the
selected location." Although webpages with text-only can be saved without any
problem.

Under Tool > Internet Options > Advanced tab, at Security section the option
"Do not save encrypted pages to disk" was checked. I unchecked it, but the
problem of saving webpages with graphics remained as it was.

When I tried to repair Internet Explorer 6 SP1 through Add/Remove program, I
got the following error message:-
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Repair - "Internet Explorer 6 could not be
repaired. Please run Setup again to reinstall all components. OK / Details."
Microsft Internet Explorer 6 Repair - "Internet Explorer 6 cannot be
repaired due to the following errors :- Version 5.0.2614.3500 of file
licmgr10.dll exists, but the version needs to be greater than 6.0.2800.1100.
Version 5.0.2614.3500 of file jsproxy.dll exists, but the version needs to be
greater than 6.0.2800.1100."

I reinstalled Internet Explorer 6 SP1, but that did not solve the problem.
Then I searched for the files "licmgr10.dll" and "jsproxy.dll" and found the
newer versions (i.e. 6.0.2800.1100) of these files. I replaced the older
version files with these newer version files and then repaired Internet
Explorer 6 SP1 using Add/Remove program. Though the rectification went
smoothly these time, the problem was not solved. I still cannot save webpages
with graphics. Any help out there?

I don't think that that is too unusual, depending on the page.
Some content providers actively try to prevent their images
from being saved.

Post a sample link and then others can tell you if they have
the same symptom when trying to save it.

BTW have you tried sending it to your mail reader?
(E.g. File, Send..., Page by E-mail)
Sometimes OE can save pages as .mht when IE can't
do File, Save As..., Web Archive...

I'm running Xp with IE 6.02. I started getting the the "The Web page could
not be saved to the selected location" error on pages like PC World after
installing the April critical updates, specifically the Cumulative Security
Update for Internet Explorer for Windows XP (KB912812). Is there anything I
can do to fix this other than uninstall the update?
