I have a 28 minute edit that will save to about 21% then causes an error message saying that the movie cannot be saved because either the source file cannot be accessed or there is insufficient disc space. The source file is on C drive. The saved file is supposed to be 358Mb. C drive has 56.4 Gb of space available

Initially I thought there may have been a porblem with the edit so I cpatured the footage from the camera again, completed an new edit and tried to finish it again. Same result

Then I thought there may have been a problem with the format of C drive so I reformatted the hard disk to make sure it was an NTFS format. I then captured the footage from the camera again, completed another edit and attepted to finish and save the movie. Same result. It stopped at about 21% complete

After a four hour session with Microsoft Online Support I am still no closer to solving this problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Please email me.

Hello Greg,
We have seen this problem occasionally when there are a lot of
transitions in the file. The only work around we have currently is to split
the project into smaller chunks, say 4, and publish them out seperately.
Then reimport those sections and then publish them out as the one entire
video. This way, each publish only has to deal with a smaller set of
transitions. I am sorry that I can't give a more elegant workaround that
that.
Best regards,
Chris.
