Although I have successfully created DVDs before, I am having this problem
with a movie I am creating now. I am able to save this movie in WMV format
but when I go to save it as AVI, I get the following error. I know that have
plenty of disk space.

Movie maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the
original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving
location is still available, and there is enough disk space, available and
then try again.

Yes i have the same little prob, i needed to put a movie
i made onto my cam, to show my mates and it would not let
me so i dont know what is wrong

If the error is happening only for DV AVI format then it may be because of a
DLL misregistration. If it is so it can be fixed by following method:

On the Start->Run dialog type in the following line (or copy paste) and
press OK:

regsvr32 %windir%\system32\qdv.dll

OK the resulting dialogs too.

Hey... I was having the same error message... I tried to re-register
the dll... it had no effect. The bizarre thing was, is that the video
that I was trying to save in DV-AVI was a part of a larger project. I
converted the entire project first, and put it on a DVD. Then I decided
I wanted to be able to access each part as different chapters. So I
tried to do each separately. The first part worked fine (but there was
no actual video in it - only titles and such). The second one did not
work. The third, fourth and fifth parts did work. The third part was
the longest part, and it worked fine. I cannot figure out what is
causing this. I checked all the source video - I can play the entire
thing. What is really strange is that the entire project worked fine.
It is just the smaller part that did not work. Any ideas?
